here is my story
My passion for health and fitness began at an early age. I have always enjoyed exercise and also was greatly impacted by family members suffering from Diabetes (Grandma Bobbie) and Heart Disease (Dad). So, I made the decision to study Clinical Exercise Physiology because I wanted a fulfilling career that would allow me to assist people with fundamental change for a healthier life. After 10 years of working in the field and starting a family, my passion for health remained strong, but I struggled with not being able to see long-lasting changes in my patients. Luckily, I discovered Take Shape for Life when I noticed that my friend had lost a significant amount of weight. When I learned about this amazing optimal health program, I felt as if, finally, I had the missing pieces that I was looking for. Not only were my friends, family and neighbors seeing weight loss success, they were seeing changes in their cholesterol, blood pressure and other markers of disease/health. (Results vary) Most importantly, my clients started to see improvements in their healthy mind, better relationships, happier mood and some even decided to join me and are paying it forward as health coaches! I am honored to partner with my clients throughout their journey to better health. I am also very fortunate to have found the work-life balance so that I don't have to miss any field trips, playdates or sports activities with my three children (& overly active triathlete husband).
